MScholarships, Grants, Loans...What's the Difference?
Scholarships are considered a gift and don't have to be paid back. They are often awarded for merit in academics, athletics, or a particular field of study but may also be awarded based on ethnic background, religious affiliation, and special interests.

Grants, also considered a gift that doesn't require repayment, are given to students judged to have financial need using formulas established by federal and state governments and/or the school. You can get application forms from the school's financial aid office.

Loans are sources of financial aid that must be repaid.
